Depart Helsinki in the morning by ferry and embark on a full-day trip to medieval Tallinn, Estonia's fascinating capital city. Let your professional English-speaking guide take you around the most important sights of Tallinn both in and outside the medieval Old Town (also a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and enjoy tasty lunch served in one of the charming restaurants. After lunch, use free time to explore the myriad of shops and sights the city has to offer, before the transfer back to the harbour for the return journey to Helsinki.

Your full-day tour starts with ferry check-in at 9:30am at Helsinki West Harbour, Terminal 2. Exchange your voucher/booking number for boarding passes (outward and return journey) at the check-in desk on the 1st floor. The ferry departs at 10:30am and the crossing takes 2 hours. An information desk with money exchange, bar, cafeteria and a tax-free shop are provided on board for your comfort.

Upon arrival in Tallinn, you will meet the local guide in the arrival hall, inside the terminal. You will recognize him/her by the Medieval Tallinn -sign he/she will be holding. Please look for the guide inside the terminal and give your voucher to the guide.

You will depart for a guided city tour by car/coach and on foot, lasting approx. 2.5 hours. This comprehensive city tour will take you around the most important sights, also outside Medieval Tallinn, such as the Song Festival grounds and the 18th century Kadriorg Park and Palace. It also includes a walking tour of the Old Town, a compact maze of cobblestone streets, historical buildings, picturesque boutiques and breathtaking vistas. Since 1997 the Old Town has been featured on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

After the tour, you will enjoy delicious lunch that will be served in one of the charming restaurants in the Old Town. After lunch you will have some free time to explore the shops and sights on your own before the transfer to the harbour for the return journey back to Helsinki. The ferry departure time for the return journey from Tallinn varies daily (5:30pm, 7:30pm or 8:30pm) and will be confirmed after booking.

Today, these wooden buildings remain under protected status but many are still private residences, some to the same families that founded Porvoo. You will then continue to drive for another half an hour to the charming idyllic maritime town of Loviisa with a seaside fortress and a historical old town. Private homes in the old town open their doors and gardens for those visiting this beautiful town.

Your full-day small-group tour starts with a pick-up from your accommodation in Helsinki city center, after which you continue to medieval Old Town of Porvoo and maritime Loviisa, both located less than an hour drive away from the capital. First you will meet your guide in Porvoo town center where your walking tour of this charming historic city and its colorful wooden shore houses and waterways commence.

Today, these wooden buildings remain under protected status but many are still private residences, some to the same families that founded Porvoo.
